Menswear, accessories & cocktails for those who care enough to look. Welcome to RYE & RIVET.
Of course, we’re just as sad as anyone that the last official weekend of summer has just come and gone. But as we tear our eyes away from the calendar and hazard a look at our closets, we realize we’ve got other things to worry about– namely, what we’re going to wear when the temperature starts to drop. Thankfully, we’ve come across one very handy rule of thumb for dressing for fall– think tactile. As bright colors and loud patterns fade into the background, it’s time to swap them out for a variety of chunky textures and warm fabrics. A five-star starting point? This corduroy button-down from Shipley & Halmos. The hefty texture and rich tortoise buttons make navy look almost regal–a nice departure from the almost clinical navies of summer’s polos–and load it up with an inviting warmth. When it comes right down to it, warmth is what you’re going to be searching for as the seasons change… but in the meantime, it doens’t hurt to look good, either. Get it here.
