Menswear, accessories & cocktails for those who care enough to look. Welcome to RYE & RIVET.
Right about now’s the time when we start considering how to move our well-loved and well-worn summer clothes into fall. A certain amount of fudging is necessary, of course–how long can a guy safely wear swim trunks as shorts on weekends, even if they’re Orlebar Browns?–but soon we’ll be settled into the browns, blacks, and beiges of autumn. And, if past seasons have been any indication, it won’t be long until we’ll be sick to death of all those autumnal colors and absolutely begging for a nice yellow or spring green again. Well, don’t despair– even though wardrobe colors turn darker as temperatures drop, that doesn’t mean you have to abandon all fun and visual interest. Exhibit one: this striking button-down from Taylor Stitch. It seamlessly combines navy and hunter green (traditionally fall-friendly colors) in a cheery gingham that’s light enough for summer but serious enough for winter, so you can transition as well as the seasons themselves. Now, about those swim trunks– enough is enough, guys. Get it here.
